I'm also having issues getting Monte Vista and Hidden Springs into my game, I've installed them in, but it s not letting me select either of the worlds to play, or letting me play my save I started in the world. Just yesterday I bought The Sims3 Worlds bundle pack with the sims 3 monte vista and hidden springs from Game stop. I had a problem with a long term save I've been playing since the start of Sims 3, so I had the game re-create another Sims 3 folder, just to make sure there was no issues with the current files, and that removed all my store conent unfortunately. I tried downloading them on my mac book by putting in the disk>going to finder>pressing the sims 3 hidden springs installer>then going through through the steps. I did put my DC Cache and Backup file back in, and it put most my store content back in, but just in case I went on to my purchase history and checked that everything was installed, and that's when I found the worlds had not gone in. Mac users will tell you there are few things more frustrating than the spinning rainbow wheel - also known as the wait cursor, which signifies your computer is struggling to handle its current tasks. When an application isn't responding how it normally would, you could wait until your screen unfreezes. Sometimes, though, you don't know how long that will take. The simplest thing to do when faced with the spinning wheel is to force quit the frozen application.įorce quit is a feature that effectively shuts down the unresponsive application. First, identify the app that is unresponsive. How to force quit on Mac from the Apple menu However, when using the force quit feature it is important to know that if your work isn't saved, you may lose it when force quitting a frozen application like Microsoft Word or any web browser. If you have multiple apps open, the simplest way to indicate the unresponsive app is to look at the cursor. If the cursor looks normal, the app is still responsive. If the cursor resembles the rainbow spinning wheel, the app is unresponsive.

I’d recommend against that! Choose the right tool for the job.) (If you were really a masochist, you could edit videos without any screen recordings at all, but You can add titles, trim and split tracks, and add audio and video effects. A main timeline shows tracks, and you can scrub a playhead across the timeline or click to a position to see a rendered preview and hear bits of audio, or click the play button to watch a real-time composite. Outside of the canvas on which you lay out visual inputs, ScreenFlow behaves almost entirely like a video-editing program. This is particularly useful for App Store developers to be sure they fit within Apple’s requirements ScreenFlow includes a special preview mode to check videos in that format before uploading. You can modify the video frame to any dimensions, or use standard ones, which include a variety of iOS capture options. I’ve created a brief walkthrough video, captured and produced using ScreenFlow, just for maximum recursive value. Video or screencast elements can be rotated across three axes, which lets you simulate iChat Theater-style presentations with a video off to the side at an angle. You can crop a screen to just an application window, for instance, or you can combine multiple inputs at once. ScreenFlow’s editing environment lets you position, resize, and crop any source within the document frame. Version 5 adds an iTunes and iPhoto media browser so you canĮasily import previously recorded clips, as well as audio, music, and still images. You can also import external video or add additional recordings to the document after the initial capture. Each source is recorded as a separate track that can be edited later. The dialog lets you simultaneously capture any or all of five kinds of sources: the desktop (only one monitor at a time), an iOS device, FaceTime camera or other attached video source, an internal or external microphone, and system audio. Using ScreenFlow starts with a new recording. If you bought a previous version on the Mac App Store, you can transfer your (Owners of any previous version can upgrade for $34. But given that its intended audience is tech support technicians, technical writers, and folks like us at TidBITS, Telestream can charge a professional price. ScreenFlow has a steep ticket to entry for casual users at $99. It resembles iMovie - before the HD version that changed everything (see “ Regain the Timeline in iMovie ’11,” 21 October 2010). Its core is a track-based editor that enables you to create extremely sophisticated demonstrations. You can also natively import video into ScreenFlow from high-end cameras in MPEG Transport Stream and AVCHD fileīut ScreenFlow isn’t just a capture aid. Apple ostensibly added this option for developers who want to add video to their App Store listings, but it’s available to everyone. In version 5, Telestream tapped into a new feature of iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 Yosemite that allows capturing the screen of any USB-connected iOS device on a Mac (this is possible without ScreenFlow too see “ How to Capture iOS Device Video in Yosemite,” 31 October 2014). ScreenFlow’s goal is to let you record any audio input, video source, or screen connected to your Mac. Sometimes, a bit of video can save dozens of email messages or ScreenFlow 5 from Telestream is the latest release of a long-running screencast app that adds some significant new capabilities for recording and editing walkthroughs or demonstrations, even if yours isn’t destined to be remembered forever. You could argue that Douglas Engelbart’s famous 1968 demonstration of a graphical user interface and a mouse pointer is one of the earliest examples. If you’re not already part of the Missouri Star quilt family you can hit the subscribe button below so you won’t miss a thing. And we hope you enjoyed this tutorial on the Peek-A-Boo Pumpkin from the Missouri Star Quilt Company. It’s something that you’ll be able to make easily before that day arrives. I have several friends that have birthdays on Halloween. The size of this quilt is 72 by 85 so it’s a great size, perfect for hanging on your porch. And it shows up so perfectly in the black. And if you look carefully, especially on the black, the quilting we used on this was our Spider Webs quilting. The backing on this is that nice orange that I showed you. And of course Riley Blake found a stripe for the binding and it just looks adorable. I asked them, I said, if I could have a stripe for the binding I would love it. We’ve got some around the nose, around this side of the eye. And you’ll need 24 of those total to make it because we’ve got some here, around the mouth. So, you know, you’ll use either the orange in or the black in for whatever it is that you’re going. So it can go this way like this, you know, or over here it can come like this. And then when you put them in, what you want to realize is that you can use either side. Alright, and then you’re going to do this. And I’m going to lay the black to the top so that our seam hides behind the darker fabric. Now what we’re going to do is we are going to go over to the iron and we are going to press these open. But for the sake of today’s video I’m just going to show you how to do this. And if you want to you can go ahead and sew like a half an inch over from that line and then those little squares will already be sewn together as well. Alright now what we’re going to do is we’re going to trim off this side, just like this. You’re going to want to put six pairs together of ten inch squares because you need a total of 24. So I’m going to sew right on the line and I’m going to do that to all four of these. You know I have that baggie of half square triangles. And I may do something amazing and show you at a later date. Now don’t get rid of this because we’re going to come up with something amazing to do with that. So I did mine, I left mine at five and what I’m going to do is sew right on these lines and trim the part off. So if you sew to either side your half square triangle will be 4 ½, which you could do but then you would have to cut your squares at 4 ½ because they all have to match and be the same size. So you’re going to cut your two squares into five inch squares and we’re going to draw the line just like this, corner to corner. I’m going to flip these over because it will be easier to see the line. And then we are going to sew right on the line. And we are going to cut those in two just like this. So we are going to take our layer cake pieces and we are going to put a black with an orange. And so what we’re going to do for our half square triangles is we are also going to make those so they come out five inches. There are 24 half square triangles on here and let me show you how we did these because I didn’t want to cut all my squares into 4 ½ inch pieces. So we have this little diagram and basically all you’re doing is sewing squares together until you get to the half square triangles. It’s already packaged and ready to go, entirely up to you of course.Īnd so let’s talk about how you make this. They also put together this awesome backing piece that you can buy. And so you’ll need two packs of those to do that. The trouble I had in putting this together was gathering enough oranges and enough blacks, the right amounts of both and not having you have to buy too many different packs of things and so our friends at Riley Blake put together these layer cakes of these darling fabrics that you see behind me. This is going to look darling hanging from my porch. Now I often make a quilt that I know will look good hanging from my porch and this is one of those quilts. And this quilt is so easy you will have plenty of time to make this before Halloween. He looks like he’s just leaning out to say hello. Hi everybody, it’s Jenny from the Missouri Star Quilt Company. (a) these screen are more expensive (u end paying more than a cheaper screen with a ee), Pro: u would not need a LUT box for that screen, only for the client TV. Not suitable for your setup.Īnother approach: buy a grading screen that has built-in LUT storage (Eizo CG models, some NEC). This would contaminate the signal, hence u can then only use one screen (calibrated), but not the client monitor and/or external scopes simultaneously. Re durability: been running multiple boxes for the last 8 years, zero issues.Īnother approach: use Resolve's built-in viewer LUT to cal one screen. Note: eeColor is EOL, supply lasts until stock runs out. Rec 709 G2.2 100 nits, Rec G2.4 100 nits, Rec 709 G2.2 120 nits, Rec G2.4 120 nits, Rec 709 G2.2 max nits the screen can do, etc (depending on what the client wants and/or what the desired standard is - this is very useful) Another reason why this is very useful is for storing multiple calibration targets, e.g.: Technically speaking u could store a cLUT (calibration LUT) for the ref screen and the client screen and then switch between them, so u could get away with one LUT box, but then u can't run them simultaneously. Even better entry level screens like the HP Dreamcolor, Eizos, NECs do have uniformity issues.Īlso, the ee box has 6 LUT slots. On lower end (-> cheaper) screens this will be a factor, but there is no way around it. Note: the LUT box can't fix uniformity issues. And, displa圜al/Argyll supports it, hence u can export that LUT format. eeColor uses 65^3 LUTs - highest LUT resolution available on the market, and also the cheapest LUT box there is. With the eeColor you can get either screen to be very, very accurate - and therefore also match each other as good as possible - minus display technology differences (e.g. This will ultimately be cheaper for you than buying more expensive screens and a much, much better calibration. HD only and HDMI, do not have the budget yet for a SDI screen.īest approach: get 2x eeColor LUT boxes - one for the grading screen and one for the client TV. Mike Nagel wrote:What is your connection to both screens (HDMI|SDI|etc) and what is the resolution of each screen ? Are u doing HD or UHD ? The differences, were they to be listed here, would as in the foregoing, result in TL:DR. In many ways, the "TV" is a fish you are painting red and imagining to be a beef tenderloin. If it is just to make the picture "bigger", than there is another whole host of factors that will change a viewer's perception of the values in the image. It's a natural instinct to want to show clients what their image might "look like at home." This is a fool's errand for too many reasons to list. what you call a "TV" has been designed to please consumers and will fall all over itself kissing doing degrading actions like dynamic contrast, sharpening, noise reduction, motion-smoothing (invented by Satan), and a ton of other things that you must shut off. Match your client display to the grade monitor. Make a distinction between calibration and matching.Ĭalibrate your grading monitor, whatever it is. If you can get the monitors right on their own, that is the best result. That is, a round peg will fit through a round hole better than making it square so that it will fit through a non-round hole that should be right in the first place.ĭispla圜AL can make LUTs that is a valid approach, but what they would like everyone to do is to try to get your hardware as close as possible before resorting to compensating tables. It is a purer through-flow to get the monitors right, rather than pre-distorting your image in the hope it will all come out right at the end. Try not to use LUTs - reproduction accuracy depends on a fairly coarse re-plotting map that doesn't usually deal with unexpected values that probably will occur as part of the grading/correction process. I do have a X-Rite i1 Display Pro and plan on using displa圜al. I'm looking into color calibration but a little bit overwhelmed, it seems to be that calibration using a 3D LUT achieves better results. Originally, BitTorrent was created as a P2P file-sharing protocol with downloaders (commonly called seeders/peers ) and uploaders (content providers) who jointly form a swarm. Even worse, there was no clear way to monetize the platform.įaced with these challenges, the BitTorrent protocol merged with TRON in July 2018 at the cost of approximately $140 million.Įver since, BitTorrent is on track to achieve its vision of decentralizing file sharing and providing internet users with innovative products to stream media in a secure and trustless way.Ĭohen has since moved on to head another of his crypto creations, Chia Network, and left BitTorrent (now known as Rainberry, Inc.) in the hands of Justin Sun, the founder and CEO of the TRON network. By 2005, BitTorrent accounted for 60 percent of the peer-to-peer network.ĭespite its colossal adoption, the BitTorrent protocol faced serious challenges of network congestion, exploding bandwidth needs and censorship laws. īitTorrent was quickly embraced by the masses who used it to download music videos and movies. Who Is the Founder of BitTorrent?īitTorrent Inc. The network has partnered with popular crypto payment gateway providers such as CoinPayments, Plisio and CoinGate to facilitate the acceptance of BTT payments by merchants. Downloaders can bid for faster speeds using BTT.īTT can also be used to pay for goods and services from online merchants that accept the token. Offering such rewards has helped reduce swarm deaths (torrent without seeders), one of the key challenges facing the BitTorrent protocol before the merger with TRON.Īnother core use case of BTT is to power BitTorrent Speed, a product designed to boost download speeds on the network. On the software itself, BTT incentivizes users to continue seeding even after they’re done downloading. On the BitTorrent Chain (BTTC), a cross-chain interoperability protocol that supports asset transfers across TRON, Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain (now known as BNB Chain), BTT is its native coin used for paying gas fees, staking and governance. What Is BTT Used For?Īs a utility-enabled token, BTT has multiple use cases geared toward a healthier and highly efficient BitTorrent ecosystem. However, as the bear market persists, BTT’s price has yet to fully recover from an all-time low of $0.000000705. Launched through an ICO that sold out within minutes, BTT rose to its highest price of $0.000003054 in January 2022. There’s a total supply of 990 trillion BTT tokens. BTT provides incentives and facilitates low-cost micropayments on the BitTorrent network. What Is BTT?īTT, the native digital currency for the BitTorrent protocol, is a standard TRC-20 utility token built on the TRON blockchain. Steven and his warrior friends Amethyst, Pearl, and Garnet are still spending time in their Beach City home, interacting with the quirky human locals. Steven Universe Future has yet to introduce any major new traumas that seem likely to change that dynamic. They’re sticking around to explore what victory, normality, and happiness look like after the kinds of world-threatening drama that’s so common in fantasy stories. The six episodes released so far all suggest Sugar and company are doing something TV virtually never does. Now, the series’ conclusion, the limited series Steven Universe Future, is looking deeply into that happily ever after. Instead, the movie blitzed past all those dire possibilities, resolved the situation, and put everyone back on track for their happily ever after. The stage was set for a long road back from square one, a journey that could have potentially set up entire seasons of conflict, or a story that used the same characters, but took a completely different route the second time around. But then the film introduced a new, horrifically dangerous enemy who erased most of the protagonists’ memories, resetting them to the start of the Steven Universe story. Steven Universe: The Movie presented a bright new future, still worry-free and relatively placid. In September 2019, creator Rebecca Sugar and her team released a follow-up film, set two years later. Suddenly, the series seemed notably short on remaining threats or dangling plot hooks. But in season 5, they faced what seemed to be the last of their major adversaries, and as usual for the show, Steven eventually got through to her with a mixture of sharp reasoning and insightful emotional appeal. The stakes faced by half-alien hybrid boy Steven Universe and his alien warrior friends, the Crystal Gems, kept escalating throughout the series. With a guest list that includes Pitch Perfect star Adam Devine (as Pizza Steve), The Runaways rocker Joan Jett (as Sunshine Justice), Magnolia crooner Aimee Mann (as Opal) and Super Bass songstress Nicki Minaj (Sugilite) Steven Universe is a colourful big-hearted delight for older kids and adults alike. When Cartoon Network’s animated series Steven Universe wrapped its fifth season in January 2019, fans worried that there was nowhere left for the show to go. Broadway legend Patti LuPone also lends her considerable vocal talents to the show as Yellow Diamond. Many of the characters taking song, influenced by Michael Jackson and Estelle, who also voices Garnet, many of the songs were written by Sugar with the incredibly catchy music composed by Aivi Tran and Steven Velema. Nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Short-Format Animated Program and taking home awards galore, Steven Universe is the coming-of-age story of a young boy called Steven Universe (voiced by Zach Callison and based on the show creator’s own little brother). It’s no surprise that she was also a writer on Adventure Time, the askew universe that Sugar has created, the first created by a woman on the Cartoon Network in the States, blending her great love of the superhero genre and magical-girl anime while bringing important messages of acceptance into kid’s entertainment. Cutting her animated teeth as a storyboard artist on the bacon pancake-tastic Adventure Time and Adam Sandler’s spooky and kooky Hotel Transylvania, it’s obvious that Steven Universe creator Rebecca Sugar has absorbed much of her previous projects irreverent and crazy style. |
